Our Early Childhood professionals work alongside OSPI, Migrant, and other Early Learning Specialists to support districts with identified needs in SISP, TK, LEAP, PIC ages three to five. They also coach and support staff in creating blended pre-schools and professional development.

The NWESD is happy to provide school district support, inclusionary practices support, technical assistance and training updates to providers, community preschools, teachers, therapists and families.

B to 3 Services ~ Early Support for Infants and Toddlers (ESIT)

Early intervention services are provided through ESIT by local lead agencies within the NWESD region (Skagit, Whatcom, Island, San Juan, and Snohomish Counties).  These services are provided to children birth to age three who may be demonstrating developmental delays or identified disabilities. The goal is to help children be active and successful during the early childhood years.  Services are provided in family homes, in child care centers, in preschools, and community settings.
