Resources for the Evaluation of Children for Services

To learn about having your child evaluated for speech, language, or other developmental needs, please contact the appropriate resource below based on the child’s age:

  • If you think your infant or toddler (child ages birth-3) may need early intervention services, please contact the Department of Early Learning where school districts, health and child care providers, caseworkers, and specialized staff assist families in accessing services for eligible children.
  • If you think your preschool child (child ages 3-5) may need early intervention services, please contact Help Me Grow for a free developmental screening for all kids under 5.
  • If you think your school-age child may need special education services, please contact the Special Education Director in your home school district.
