Position Summary

Program Administrators are responsible for developing, planning, implementing, administering, and evaluating the effectiveness of a school reengagement program for older youth who have dropped out of school, or are not expected to graduate by the age of 21.
This position will serve Skagit Open Doors and Marysville Open Doors.
Qualifications
Masters Degree and minimum of five years of successful educational experience in K-12 schools. Washington State Program Administrator or Principal credential required. WSP/FBI criminal history background clearance required. Current CPR and First Aid Certification required or be willing to obtain.
Employment Conditions and Benefits
148 days per year, 8 hours per day, 4 days a week. Expected start date 08/24/2026.
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:
Work is performed in an educational environment with students present where observation and awareness of surroundings is critical. May sit for extended periods. May occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing up to 25 pounds. Travel between worksites is routinely required. Adequate manual and finger dexterity, hearing, speech, and vision are necessary to perform the essential functions of this position. This position may be eligible for occasional telecommuting per Policy 5225.
Hazards:
Due to the nature of the population of the school, hazards include but are not limited to exposure to weapons, threats, verbal abuse, hitting, fighting, throwing of objects, etc. May be required to deal with distraught individuals. Hazards may also include traveling alone, in inclement weather conditions, varied road conditions, rush hour traffic, etc.
