Adventures in Early Learning

The journey begins…

Welcome, early learning professionals: providers, teachers, administrators, caregivers, and anyone who’s invested in the early learning work in the NWESD region! This page is our communication hub for all things related to early learning. You can explore news, opportunities, ideas, and resources in early learning (prenatal-third grade).

Now, more than ever, focusing on our youngest learners to provide experiences that shape their positive growth and development is essential.

Children in our region have had a wide variety of opportunities and experiences this year- at home, in early learning programs, at school, and in many other settings. They have been learning, developing, and making sense of the new, masked-up world that we live in. We have an opportunity to thoughtfully engage with young learners and their families as we reimagine our learning spaces and learn from the lessons that COVID 19 has brought us. This newsletter will serve as a regular place to capture learning, ideas, opportunities, and questions for your journey!

According to the Centers for Disease Control, “Investing in early childhood is a solution that creates upward mobility through opportunity. Instead of costly and marginally successful programs later in life, quality early childhood education helps prevent the achievement gap by building the cognitive and social skills necessary for school readiness.”

We invite you to join the adventure by staying connected with us, asking questions, and sharing ideas with your community. Let’s Go!
