Professional Development Courses

Ongoing professional development is essential for educators to stay prepared and confident in matters of school safety. From emergency response to prevention strategies, regular training equips school staff with the tools they need to foster a safe, supportive learning environment. When educators are informed and ready, schools are better positioned to prevent crises, respond effectively, and build a culture of safety and trust for students, families, and staff.

The School Safety and Wellness Center (SSWC) provides engaging learning opportunities by partnering with experts from across the region, nation, and world. These trainings cover a wide range of topics, including student threat assessment and behavior management, emergency operations and crisis response, suicide prevention, neurodiversity awareness, and strategies for creating safer, more inclusive school communities.
