Keynote Presenters
Special keynote speakers Carly and Reichen Posey will anchor the training with experiences and messages that highlight the importance of connection, trust, and preparedness in our schools.
Carly Posey is a nationally recognized speaker and advocate for school safety and community preparedness. Her work in safety advocacy was deeply influenced by the December 14, 2012, tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary School, where two of her children were present during the shooting and escaped safely. Since then, she has held leadership roles in safety and security organizations – such as Mission Director at The “I Love U Guys” Foundation and Executive Director of Safe2Tell – and currently serves as Vice President of RedBag Inc., focusing on improving emergency response, reunification, and community preparedness. Before her safety advocacy career, she and her husband owned and operated several businesses for over 20 years.
Reichen Posey is a young speaker, survivor of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting in 2012, and aspiring educator and coach. He was in first grade at Sandy Hook when the tragedy occurred and has since used his experience to speak about school safety, resilience, and community support. Reichen aims to mentor and inspire students both inside and outside the classroom while advocating for supportive and safe school environments.
Carly and Reichen currently live and work in Colorado.
