Welcome back!

I’m so excited to welcome you into a new school year, one that brings a fresh start, new opportunities and the kind of energy that comes from the start of a new school year.

As the school year kicks off and things get busier, remember that we work better together than we do individually.  The more we can have a common mission and vision as an education community, the more we increase success for each and every child.

Take advantage of the brilliant minds of those working around you.  Be open to learning from each other, to sharing best practices, and to collaborative thought and decision making.  It’s collaboration that will strengthen the building blocks that students are using as they build their futures.

The success of our students is the reason I come to work each day and keeping that our focus can make a world of difference to our students, families, educators, and to our schools.

Education is undergoing significant changes and shifts in the federal and state legislative landscape can easily pull us off course and distract us from what truly matters: meeting the needs of our students. This year is just one chapter in a larger period of transformation, and with each challenge, I’ve witnessed the strength that emerges when we face them together. We’ve grown, adapted, and supported one another to find solutions and move toward shared goals – and I am confident we will continue to do so.

At the NWESD 189, we’re here to walk alongside you and provide the resources, training, and support to help you keep students at the center of everything you do.

Together, we are ready to have a fantastic 2025-26 school year.  Here’s to a year of learning, growth and success – especially for our students.
