The Alignment Collaboration of Child Care Aware of Northwest Washington (CCA) and Northwest Educational Service District 189 (NWESD) brings our Early Learning Community together to help children and families thrive for long term success in life. This year’s collaboration will be grounded in the Pyramid Model (PM), a framework that supports social emotional development from Preschool through Third Grade.

Why the Pyramid Model?

The Pyramid Model strengthens teaching practices and program structures to create nurturing, predictable learning environments where children can fully engage and thrive.

  • Supportive environments promote cognitive engagement and deeper learning
  • When children develop skills to manage their emotions and behavior, they are better prepared for long-term academic and social success

Join the Conversation

Allie Bishop of CCA is leading a series of virtual Pyramid Model training, implementation and support sessions.

The next session is 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, April 28, and focuses on Schedules, Routines and Transitions. Another session is planned for May.

Two clock hours are available.

The sessions offer the chance for participants to join with a team of their colleagues and discuss the framework as it pertains to your classroom.
