Asynchronous Online Classes Now Available
The NWESD offers a variety of asynchronous (work at your own pace) classes on Canvas (a Learning Management System) that are available for clock hours.
Why Asynchronous?
- Convenient, relevant, and affordable continuing education courses for K-12 educators.
- You control your own schedule, with courses that can be taken anytime, anywhere.
- Participants can feel confident that the courses have been developed by professional, knowledgeable educators and are fully approved for Washington State clock hours.
- Courses are targeted to help both Certificated educators and Paraeducators meet state requirements.
- We are continuing to add courses to our NWESD course library to fulfill a variety of clock hour needs including STEM, Equity, and SEL specialized credit types.
- The Issues of Abuse course satisfies the OSPI Issues of Abuse requirement.
Course Completion: Once we are notified of your course completion and you have taken the course survey, your clock hours will be available to purchase in pdEnroller and recorded to your official transcript. Courses listed on your pdEnroller transcript are automatically uploaded to the state E-Certification system (provided your accounts are properly linked).
