Core Values

We at the NWESD aspire to be a racially and culturally inclusive organization that strives to reflect the diversity of the school communities we serve. Alongside our NWESD Board of Directors, the values of the NWESD describe how we are at our best, how we are stronger together, and how we can continue to create pathways for success in education for the scholars we serve.

We demonstrate responsive customer service to the school districts, tribal compact schools, public charter schools, private schools, and early learning partners we serve, increasing equitable outcomes for all scholars within the NWESD region.

We provide open communication that creates a culture to celebrate differences. We encourage our partners to speak openly which allows us to affirm, uplift, and nurture professionals in a safe environment.

We embrace regional collaboration to leverage the unique perspectives and varied demographics of our partners across the region, to achieve excellence, develop innovative support, and promote equity across the region.

We trust that through flexible teamwork we access unique perspectives, diverse strengths, and collective resilience. We are stronger together.

We approach adaptable professional learning and foster educator effectiveness by ensuring that professional learning is culturally and historically responsive, demonstrating a commitment to equity through our professional dialogue creating opportunities and systems that seek to empower each voice.

We believe positive relationships build a foundation of trust and create working environments where everyone is welcomed, safe, accepted, and empowered; fostering a sense of belonging for all.
