NWESD Fellows

The Fellows Network is a group of instructional leaders who help school districts implement the state learning standards in mathematics, English Language Arts (ELA), and science as well as the Early Learning Guidelines. It was established in 2013 by the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) and the Association of Educational Service Districts (AESD).

Keep in mind that teachers of students with disabilities, teachers of students with emerging bilinguals and teachers at alternative learning environments (Alternative High schools included) are welcome to apply to become a Fellow in either English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science or Early Learning. The addition of these educators will enhance our work and offer support for all our schools in our region!

Ready to join? Below are the next steps...

1. The OPSI and AESD window for applying is 
April 16th - May 25th, 2018. 
(please contact your regional coordinator to request an application extension)
2. To apply, work with your school principal/district leadership to review and sign the Fellows’ Assurance document. It must be uploaded with your application.
3. If chosen, complete the Fellows’ Action Plan with your administrator’s support. You’ll meet with the Fellows network four times per year, provide data to support our work, and use the instructional leadership skills you develop as a Fellow to widen the circle of learning
