The BEST program provides support for new teachers in Washington State through comprehensive induction with funds and professional learning opportunities. We aim to support and retain new educators and ensure an equitable, high-quality education for every student in Washington. The NWESD also has a Consortium of districts who engage in BEST grant activities collectively and with support from NWESD staff. When we set up our novice teachers for success, we set up their students for success.
Professional Learning Opportunities for Mentors and Induction Leaders are offered throughout the state by OSPI.
