The NWESD Special Education Specialist’s Consortium
Based upon feedback collected from a school district survey conducted last year, we have developed the NWESD Specialist’s Consortium! This consortium offers school districts the flexibility and option to purchase only the services and hours they need for traditionally hard-to-fill positions: School Psychologists and Certificated Behavior Teachers. These services can be purchased based on the amount of time a district needs part-time services.
In addition to the direct service provided by our highly qualified NWESD special education staff, districts also enjoy the benefits of a variety of options at no additional cost. These services include, but are not limited to:
- Consultation and program coordination
- Staff and family support
- Assisting to create partnerships to better serve the students in our region
For the 2021-2022 school year, we will offer the following positions:
- School Psychologist
- Certificated Behavior Specialist
How does this benefit your district?
- The NWESD is offering the services, through a contract, of either a Certificated Behavior Specialist or School Psychologist through this new Consortium launching September 1, 2021
- Districts may contract with the NWESD for service days (FTE) at a competitive daily rate
- Technical expertise available to districts at any time
- Flexible, effective, and efficient use of staff and other resources
