The Climate Justice League is a small cohort of teachers that will work together to craft climate science learning opportunities centered on issues of social justice.

As a member of the Climate Justice League, you will participate in four two-hour Zoom meetings on January 12, February 2, March 10, and April 27 and complete approximately four hours of asynchronous work. You will commit to developing a series of lessons or a unit that engages students in learning about social justice issues through the lens of climate change. At the final meeting, you will bring student work samples and/or artifacts from your lessons to share with the group and reflect on your personal learning as well as student learning.

As a member of the Climate Justice League, you will receive:

  • A $480 stipend for attending all four meetings and completing teacher surveys and
    student surveys
  • Professional learning and resources for social justice and climate justice teaching,
  • including a copy of A People’s Curriculum for the Earth
  • Support as you plan and reflect on your lessons
