Reimagining Washington State Schools for Our Students
Continuous learning supports provided by Washington’s 9 Educational Service Districts (AESD) and Shifting Schools.
Keep the momentum going this fall with:
The “Why”
Distance learning is more than just “moving schools online”. Since April 2020 the AESD has partnered with international education consultant Jeff Utecht through ReImagine WA Ed to support a statewide professional learning series that provides educators and administrators with structures, best practices, and support for making the move to distance learning – together! Sessions are available for educators and administrators wherever you are in your distance learning journey.
Reimagine WA Ed 2.0
If you attended the “Shifting Schools” virtual professional learning this spring, ReImagine WA Ed 2.0 is the continuation of reimagining education for students across Washington State. These sessions are the next step in building a “blended classroom” that builds on the knowledge and skills from ReImagine 1.0. Sessions dig into creating classroom learning systems, creating universal designs for learning at a distance and engaging students in learning cycles. Assessment of student learning and record keeping are also addressed.
Reimagine WA Ed 3.0
If you attended the “Shifting Schools” virtual professional learning this spring, Reimagine 3.0 is the next step in reimagining education for students. These sessions bring together all of the pieces from ReImagine 1.0 and 2.0, moving from theory and thinking to designing and doing. Sessions include lesson design to bridge “live” and “on-demand” instruction, student engagement in learning, video production, and tools for making connections across classrooms and buildings.
Reimagine Mastermind Collective for Administrators
These sessions are like a ReImagine 2.0 series for administrators. They are designed as a place and time for administrators to dig into best practices and nuts and bolts to refine district and school-wide distance learning systems. Sessions will include ways to effectively support educators at a distance, scheduling, and communication strategies.
