We want to welcome Jennifer Larson, who will soon join the Northwest Educational Service District 189 team as our new Deputy Superintendent for Business and Operations.
Larson currently serves as Executive Director of Finance for the Mount Vernon School District and brings decades of experience in education and finance. Throughout her career, she has demonstrated a strong commitment to supporting students, staff, and communities while thoughtfully balancing financial priorities and organizational needs.
“While saying goodbye to my Bulldog family after nearly 27 years will be incredibly difficult, I am beyond excited for this next chapter in my career,” she said. “This opportunity allows me to stay in public education, while growing professionally. I look forward to working with the amazing team at NWESD 189, building meaningful partnerships with our member districts, and continuing to support the success of students throughout our region.”
Larson will join the NWESD 189 on Jan. 4, 2027, which will give her time to work with our current Deputy Superintendent of Business and Operations, Lisa Matthews, and team on a transition process.
“I am excited to have Jennifer join our team and look forward to the leadership, experience, and perspective she will bring to our agency in serving our schools,” Superintendent Dr. Ismael Vivanco said.
