6640 – NWESD 189-Provided Vehicles
The NWESD 189 may provide for the necessary transportation and expenses that are incurred in the course of performing services for the NWESD 189, whether within or outside the NWESD 189. All such vehicles, whether owned or leased, shall be properly marked with letters of contrasting color at least 1 and 1/4 inches in height in a conspicuous place on both sides of the vehicle. Assignment of NWESD 189 vehicles shall be made at the discretion of the Superintendent to maximize efficient use. All travel must be approved in advance by the staff member’s immediate supervisor and the Superintendent, unless the Superintendent determines an exceptional situation exists.
The Superintendent is directed to establish procedures for the use of NWESD 189 vehicles. The NWESD 189 shall comply with IRS regulations pertaining to the use of NWESD 189-provided vehicles for personal commuting.
