2029 – Animals as Part of the Instructional Program
Pets are not allowed on any program campus unless there is a clear instructional purpose for the visit. All requests to include animals on a program campus must be approved by the program administrator. Health issues (e.g., allergies, vaccinated status of the animal) involving students and staff will be considered and must be addressed before any permission is given to allow the animal on a program campus.
If the instructional program involving the animal is ongoing and the animal will remain at the program site when the program is not in session, appropriate arrangements for the animal’s care must be made. Animals must be under the control of their adult-owner, the teacher or designated students at all times.
This policy does not apply to service animals for the disabled (refer to Policy 2030).
