1900 – Appointment of Members to the Regional Committee on School District Organization
In September of each even-numbered year the Superintendent, or designee, shall contact:
- each regional committee member whose term is expiring to determine if they wish to be re-appointed;
- each school district superintendent in the director district that has a regional committee member term expiration to solicit nomination of potential candidates to serve on the regional committee; and,
- each NWESD 189 board member representing the same director district to identify potential candidates to serve on the regional committee.
Each potential candidate shall be contacted during September or October. Each valid candidate shall complete a Declaration of Candidacy (form 1900-F1). The Board may request additional information from candidates as needed to properly consider each individual.
A list of all potential candidates shall be presented to the NWESD 189 Board for appointment at a regularly scheduled meeting by December 31.
Candidates shall be notified of their appointment which is effective the following January 1.
