1240 – Committees
Superintendents Advisory Committee
Upon the advice and recommendations of the superintendents of local school districts, the Board shall determine the general scope and nature of services and programs to be provided.
The superintendents of all local school districts within the District shall serve in an advisory capacity to the NWESD 189 Board and Superintendent in matters pertaining to budgets, programs, cooperatives, and policy.
Temporary and Standing Committees
Temporary committees and standing committees of the Board may be appointed by the chair or chosen by the Board. The functions of these committees are fact-finding, deliberative, and advisory, but not legislative or administrative. The Superintendent is eligible for membership on such committees and is encouraged to attend all such meetings, if possible. Each committee will be automatically disbanded as soon as its predetermined purpose has been achieved.
