6270 – Recognition and Appreciation Awards
The NWESD 189 frequently partners with other entities and individuals in support of its mission to provide leadership and cooperative services to educational communities in support of efforts to increase the number of students meeting state and local standards.
The Board finds the maintenance of such partnerships to be critical to maximizing NWESD 189 effectiveness related to mission-related accomplishments and recognizes the value of nominal recognition and appreciation awards on these partnerships. Further, similar staff recognition for exceptional performance has a positive impact on morale and, thereby, mission attainment.
The Superintendent shall develop and administer an appropriate recognition and appreciation awards program. This program may include giving nominally valued recognitions (e.g., certificates, plaques, school bells, meal) to such partners, individually and/or collectively, for significant efforts in support of the NWESD 189 mission.
