Web Services

Content Management Systems

The step beyond a "static" Web site is a site that separates content, page appearance, and site management. These systems decrease Web maintenance costs and training. They provide security, consistency, and ease of use.

Development of Web Applications and Databases

Database-backed Web sites are changing the Internet. They can have many different uses, but on a simple level they allow users to submit and retrieve complex or dynamic information through a Web page.

Hosting Services

NWESD provides web hosting services to several districts and schools. Because we can host many district sites, we can achieve an economy of scale that reduces the cost of overall maintenance. The cost savings are passed on to our member districts so they end up spending much less money than if they were to provide all these services for themselves.

URL Blacklist Services

Protect your district with our human-monitored URL blacklist service. This list of over half a million entries of inappropriate Internet sites can be integrated with your current Linux/Squidguard system. For a modest fee of $150 per year you can download this updated list twice a week.

The Northwest Educational Service District 189 is committed to providing access to all individuals, with or without disabilities, seeking information on our website. Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act requires that all individuals with disabilities have access to and use of information and data, comparable to that provided to individuals without disabilities unless an undue burden would be imposed on us. Throughout this website, we make use of different third-party websites, PDFs, and applications to provide information about our agency and to connect our staff and visitors to various educational resources and services. Some of these PDFs, applications, and sites are not controlled by the NWESD.

Please contact us at 360-299-4000 or communications@nwesd.org if because of a disability you are unable to access content on the NWESD’s website, have questions about the accessibility of content or technology used by the NWESD, and/or would like to report barriers to accessing any information on this website.
