In concert with science education stakeholders throughout Washington, we support OSPI’s timeline for transition to next-generation science for all students.
NWESD offers Next Generation Science Standards workshops. In this workshop, you will understand the architecture and development of the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS). Learn about the connections between the Washington State Science Standards and the NGSS and develop a deeper understanding of the specific standards for your grade level. Increase your understanding of the Washington State implementation timeline for the NGSS and consider key instructional shifts for these new standards.
