This year, we will be joined by the Educational Research and Data Center (ERDC) and Mari Taylor from the National P-3 Center. In the morning, teams will explore the ERDC’s Early Learning Feedback Report to gain a deeper understanding of how former ECEAP students perform on the WaKIDS assessment. We will look at the data in the state as a whole, and data coming from specific early learning sites. With this knowledge, teams will have the opportunity to identify patterns of achievement across sub-groups of children, identify strengths, based on school and program outcomes, and have data-informed discussions with colleagues from across the region about best practices. In the afternoon, teams will have the opportunity to do some reflection and planning for their own P-3 systems with the support of the Framework for Planning, Implementing, and Evaluating P-3 Approaches (Kauerz & Coffman, 2013). Mari Taylor will guide teams in addressing key questions for developing and implementing comprehensive P-3 approaches to align birth-5 and K-12 systems.
