Regional Mathematics Coordinator, Mary Ellen Huggins, will facilitate the Math Learning Network (MLN) for the 2017-2018 school year. Our focus will continue to be on building teacher leadership capacity for implementation of what is now referred to as the Washington State Mathematics Standards.
We will engage in strategies that impact instruction including the overlap of content and practice standards, student access and equity, and protocols around looking at student work to develop next steps. In addition, members of the MLN will reflect on their role as a leader in their respective buildings and districts. As a network educator, you will have an opportunity to share your learning around leadership experiences.
New members are invited to participate. Please note that we ask for those who enroll to make every effort to attend all four meetings.
