Services
The NWESD offers a number of services for school districts in the region. Many of these services are funded by grants, with some supported through fees for service.
Communications
The NWESD Communications Department provides numerous resources for Public Information Officers, and other district staff responsible for communications within their district.
Fiscal Services
The NWESD Fiscal Services Department provides liaison and technical assistance for financial purposes between 35 regional school districts, the region's county officials, and the Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction.
Northwest Regional Data Center (NWRDC)
The NWRDC is the largest of the seven regional data centers in the state, servicing schools from the Canadian border to the San Juan Islands and south to Sumner.
Resource Development & Grant Writing
The Resource Development and Grant Writing department is focused on building organizational capacity, effective program planning, and securing financial support for our programs, and those of our school districts.
Technology Services
The Technology Services department provides technology programs and cooperatives for school districts in the NWESD region, including the Educational Technology Support Center, K-20 Network, Learning Resource Cooperative, Network Cooperative, and Web Services Cooperative.
Transportation
Support for Pupil Transportation is provided by the Regional Transportation Coordinator (RTC) program free of charge to all thirty-five school districts in NWESD. We serve as liaison between OSPI and districts.
