Professional Development

The NWESD offers a wide range of high quality Professional Development opportunities, resources, and support.  Browse the pages below for answers to your PD questions.

Workshops & Classes
There are several ways to find professional development opportunities at the NWESD.  Find the course you are looking for, and receive updates when new classes are scheduled.

Certification
The Certification department provides resources, and information regarding certification requirements in Washington State.  NWESD staff can process basics applications and issue temporary permits when appropriate.

Clock Hours
Clock Hour forms and printable resources are available here.  You can also request an official Clock Hour Transcript.

District Provided Inservice
This is your guide to creating Inservice Proposals for your district.  Resources are available on the approval process and criteria, forms required for submission, and detailed instructions for processing your proposal online.

Fingerprinting
Fingerprinting is required of all individuals who have regular, unsupervised access to children.  The NWESD offers digital fingerprinting services, so educators and administrators in our region have a convenient way to keep current with the state mandated fingerprint update every two years.

Online surveys and evaluations are powed by SurveyGizmo's survey software.
