How To Request Regional Crisis Response Team Assistance

Purpose
In the event of a school crisis the Prevention Center can deploy a team of specially trained volunteer counselors to assist in a crisis response.This team can help coordinate the crisis response process, and provide additional comfort and guidance to a school district in crisis.

History
The Regional Crisis Response Team was created in 2001. The team's main focus is to provide school districts with a professionally conducted crisis response that is available year round. The four key elements RCRT focuses on are: prevention, intervention, response, and recovery. Today the team consists of 72 active members from 5 counties, 23 school districts and 52 individual school buildings. All members participate in specialized training and actively meet as a team 3 times a year.
