K-20 NetworkThe K-20 Education Network makes high speed Internet accessible and affordable to all Washington. Launched in 1996, our network provides a single, cost-effective solution to meeting the diverse video and data needs of the state’s entire educational community.
SupportTechnical support for the K-20 Network is primarily provided by Institutional Technical Units (ITUs), either regionally at the Educational Service District level (Regional ITUs), or at the school district level (School District ITUs). The Information Systems Support Center (ISSC) provides K-20 RITU support for all districts within the NWESD Region.
The Data ITU is the first point of contact for any K-20 network or telecommunications problems. The Data ITUs" primary function in the escalation process is to determine where the problem resolution ownership resides. The Data ITU is also the primary contact for K-20 circuit and equipment Moves, Adds, and Changes.
The Video ITU provides remote diagnosis, resolution coordination, and assistance for the 35 districts within the NWESD region.
